 McTeacher Night is on Wednesday, March 12th at the McD's/Chevron in Kent, from 5pm - 7:30pm. Make a $5 donation to the PTO there and receive a MCD's coupon book worth $15 of savings! So, make next Wednesday your splurge night - get the kids what they love and save yourself from having to make dinner, while also helping your Millennium PTO earn money! Plus, don't forget you can get McD's coupons (to save YOU money) while donating to YOUR Millennium PTO, too! Win-win-win!

This activity is from 8:30 am until approximately 9:10 am.  Come grab a bite to eat and spend some time reading a book with your child.

Tuesday, March 25th, the Student Council is hosting a 
used book sale.  
Visit their sale before the TIPS (Noise) performance begins.

Tuesday, March 25th is a TIPS Night.  It is a NOISE (Opera) which begins at 6:30pm.  Children must be accompanied by a parent.  Thank you to the Millennium staff for arranging all these fun, family nights!

Today - Friday, March 7th is POPCORN DAY!  I'm sure lots of kids are excited and can't wait until their lunch recess.  Our kids wouldn't get to enjoy this (or any other PTO sponsored activities) without the help of our PTO volunteers. Thank you to everyone that helps regularly, as well as, those that have helped whenever they can. Every volunteer matters and makes a difference!

On Friday, Dec. 6th there is a Winter Dance planned to help raise funds for the 6th Grade Outdoor Education Program.  It begins after school & ends @ 5:30pm, $2 per student (or $5 per family of 3+children).

  • Today - Monday, November 11th there is NO SCHOOL.
  • Our PTO's Fall NorthWest Fundraiser is running through Thursday, November 14th.  Fundraising packets were sent home already.  Don't forget to turn in your orders and payments by then.  Thanks for your support.
  • The Magical Night of Giving tickets are still on sale for $5 each. The full $5 per ticket benefits our 6th grade outdoor education program. If you are interested in purchasing, just let us know the quantity you'd like and one of our 6th grade families selling them can arrange to get them to you/receive payment. Thank you!
  • 6th Grade Camp Fundraiser - McTeacher's Night is this Wednesday, November 13th from 5-7pm @McD's/Chevron on 240th in Kent.  Grab some dinner at this location and help support this 6th Grade Camp Fundraiser!  It's a win - win - win... this way you don't have to plan & cook, make the kids happy with some McD's, AND show your support for 6th grade's outdoor education program.
  • Popcorn Day & Smencil Sales are this Friday, November 15th during student lunches.  We will be selling Smencils for $1 a piece.  Popcorn is $0.25 per bag. There is a limit of 2 bags per student.
  • Wednesday, November 20th is a KSD Late-Start Day.  FYI: school will begin 2 hours late at Millennium.

6th Grade Camp Fundraiser - McTeacher's Night 
is on Wednesday, November 13th from 5-7pm @McD's/Chevron on 240th in Kent.  Don't want to cook dinner?  Show your support and buy your dinner at this McDonald's because during this time period, 20% of all profits will go to our PTO to benefit our 6th graders outdoor education camp.

The end of October is creeping closer...

The end of October is creeping closer and we are still looking for several new chair members.  If you are at all interested in becoming a chairperson (or future board member), please let us know & we will get you the details.  We really appreciate all the people that volunteer and those that have donated money to our organization.  Please consider shadowing a board member or a chairperson... several will be leaving us next year, as their children are now sixth graders that will be moving on to middle school.  Our PTO will need volunteers to step up and fill several positions next year.  So, really think about what types of role you might enjoy.  AND FYI, we have had many jobs divided between people...in fact, currently we have 2 co-treasurers and 2 co-presidents.  You don't have to do it alone!  

Both Parent-teacher Conferences and BOOK FAIR have been going on this week.  We will be closing up the book fair after school (around 1pm) on Thursday.  Thanks to everyone that helped set-up, work at, and has offered to help pack up the book fair.  We appreciate YOU!


Picture Re-Take Day has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 29th.  Please send your child's packet of pictures with them to school if you need them to have their photo re-taken.  If your student was absent and you need to order school pictures for the first time, please send your payment (payable to O'Connor Photography Studio) to school with your child.  

Just a reminder that Wednesday, October 30th is a KSD Late-Start Day and school will begin 2 hours late at Millennium.

Our Fall NorthWest Fundraiser kick-off is on Thursday, October 31st!  It runs for 2 weeks.  Expect your student to bring home a fundraiser packet that day.  If you are curious, there is a display of items offered in the catalog (in a display case) located in the junction of the hallways.

Don't forget that Friday, November 1st there is NO SCHOOL.  

Please join us for our next PTO meeting.  It is scheduled for Wednesday, November 6th at 6:30pm in the school's library.

Friday, November 8th is our first Breakfast & Books of this school year!  Come check it out!  It begins at 8:30am in the lunchroom/multipurpose room.  Have a bite to eat and spend a few minutes reading with you children before their school day begins.

Then on Monday, November 11th there is NO SCHOOL.

You can visit our Online Book Fair between October 14th - November 1st. 

Book Fair Set-Up is on Friday, October 18th after school.  If you can help us, please let us know.  Thanks!

Our Fall Book Fair is open the week of October 21-24th.
Hours are as follows:
Monday, Oct. 21st from 9am - 7pm
Tuesday, October 22nd from 9am - 7pm
Wednesday, October 23rd from 9am - 4pm
Thursday, October 24th from 9am - 1pm

We could use volunteers to help customers find books, straighten books, and re-stock items.  If you do not have time to help during the book fair, perhaps you could consider donating some pretzels, crackers, water bottles, or apple juice for our late nights.  Please let us know if you are able to volunteer your time or donate something for the book fair.  Thank you. 

The Book Fair Pack-Up will be on Thursday after closing (around 1:30 pm).  If you are available to help with this, please let us know.  Thanks!

As Autumn Begins...

Today was our first "Popcorn Day" of this school-year!  Thanks to everyone that helped.  It was great to see the kids so excited.  Not to mention, the kids that came together and shared.  It is so nice to see their kindness.  Plus, we also got to witness some honesty and environmental stewardship.  Let your Millennium Virtues SHINE!  I'm looking forward to getting the next Popcorn Day on our calendar.

We are continually looking for volunteers. 

There are more Picture Days, Popcorn Days and Smencil-Selling Days ahead.  Plus, we will need help with the Book Fairs, Fall & Spring Fundraisers, and the 6th Grade Fundraising. Classes could really use Art Docents.  Teachers can almost always use additional help, as well as, chaperones for field trips.  

We need YOUR help.  Please consider donating some of your time to your child's school.  Also, if you know anyone else (grandparent, aunt/uncle, family friend, or adult sibling) that may be interested in volunteering...please spread the word.  We love seeing new faces!  Plus, I can't forget to say "thanks" to those that keep coming back and sharing their time with us.  Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

The ball is starting to roll and we are looking for volunteers to help with things throughout the school year.

We need help for the Clothing Bank Service Night, Picture Days, Popcorn Days, Book Fairs, Fall & Spring Fundraisers, Smencil Sales, 6th Grade Fundraiser, Art Docents, and more.  

Not to mention other activities we have had in the past like dances, auctions, or carnivals.  The more people that pitch in, the less work there is for each of us to do.  So, we need YOUR help.  Please consider donating some of your time.  Think about what you enjoyed as a student and think about what you would enjoy helping with.  Then, just let us know.  We would love to have your help.  AND if you know anyone else that may be interested in volunteering...please spread the word.  We love seeing new faces!
